Connecting the Community: Christmas Computer Giveaway Powered by Partnership
TechStart, the City of Las Vegas VAC, and Nevada Partners Team Up to Empower Youth, Veterans & Entrepreneurs
This past holiday season, something powerful happened in Las Vegas. Through a united effort between TechStart, the City of Las Vegas, the Veterans, Advocacy Council (VAC), and Nevada Partners, we helped deliver 20 fully equipped computers to youth, veterans, and emerging entrepreneurs across the city.
More than a giveaway, this was a digital head start — each recipient received not just a device, but access to training, mentorship, and real tools to launch their goals in the digital economy.
“Digital access is step one. But what comes after is just as important — skills, strategy, and support,” said TechStart founder Dr. Elias Benjelloun.
Who Benefited:
High school and college students
Veterans transitioning into digital careers
Local residents starting new businesses or side hustles
This effort was proof that when we come together — community orgs, tech leaders, and local government — we can turn digital equity into real opportunity.
